I have a video for you on Consciousness NOW TV on dealing with blocks in your meditation. It actually is a good one for dealing with blocks in your life in general. Learning to treat yourself with caring and compassion can make a huge impact in your life. When you make the conscious choice to be gentle with yourself, regardless of your shortcomings, you bring your stress level down a few notches. When you are less defended from yourself and learn the practice of forgiveness in yourself it is easier to be open in your relationships.
If you are a parent and you are really self critical make sure that your children are watching, taking notes and parroting you. If that is not motivation what is – right?! Give yourself a break and be a role model of loving forgiveness to yourself. Teach compassion from practicing compassion in yourself. Your children will learn from you and the gentleness will flow more easily between you.
I know life is coming at you fast. I certainly feel it. Be gentle with yourself, take time out for your own quiet practice and you will be able to handle everything with more ease and grace.
